Is the free check really free?

Yes. The Quick Check runs core tests with no purchase or sign-in.

What does the full diagnostic include?

The full diagnostic tests every major component: front and rear cameras, flashlight, video, ear and loud speakers, microphone, proximity, ambient light, motion sensors, screen rotation, Face ID / Touch ID, vibration, buttons, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. Each completed run produces a shareable pass/fail certificate.

How do credits and purchases work?

A purchase grants a number of full-diagnostic credits (1, 3, or 10). One credit is used per full run. Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store; no account is required.

How do I restore a purchase?

Open the upgrade screen and tap Restore. Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

Does Synapse collect my data?

No. All tests run on your device and nothing is uploaded. See our Privacy Policy.

Why does the app ask for camera, microphone, or location access?

Each permission is used only to test that specific piece of hardware, and only while the test runs. Location is requested briefly during the GPS test to confirm a position fix, then released.
